Happiness is a Choice You Make

If you are not a happy per­son then it is a choice you made by your­self. You know you have full con­trol over your life as well as the deci­sions that you make. There are many fac­tors in which peo­ple mea­sure their hap­pi­ness. Exam­ple, some peo­ple think money is the hap­pi­ness, how­ever they may absolutely mis­er­able with what they do on a daily basis to make their money.

You might look at peo­ple who have absolutely every­thing, such as wealth, pos­ses­sions, sta­tus or etc, you strive and want to be like them. But do you know these things don’t cre­ate hap­pi­ness? And actu­ally hap­pi­ness is a choice.

There are many peo­ple who have wealth and a high social sta­tus who are com­pletely mis­er­able — they may be lonely, got divorced and more. Hap­pi­ness comes from within.

Hap­pi­ness is Subjective

There are things in life that can make you happy that are sub­jec­tive, because hap­pi­ness comes dif­fer­ently for dif­fer­ent people.

You might find joy and hap­pi­ness seek­ing thrills through rides like roller coast­ers and bungee jump­ing. This thrill may be more than tor­ture for some­one with a fear of heights who would never step foot on a roller coaster, or who will never ever be brave enough to jump from a bridge sus­pended by a bungee cord.

Every­one seeks hap­pi­ness in their own way. What makes you happy is a nat­ural high that you deserve to seek. There is noth­ing wrong with the things that you find the joy of doing it. As long as you are happy, then just do it, it’s really simple.

Nat­u­rally Happy

It is true — some peo­ple are nat­u­rally happy, which is proven through a genetic dis­po­si­tion. It doesn’t mean that if you are not a nat­u­rally happy per­son, you must born to be mis­er­able. No, not at all. Your hap­pi­ness is influ­enced by your genet­ics how­ever it is not fixed as a deter­min­ing factor.

If you are not a nat­u­rally happy per­son, then you should change the way you think first — to change the way your brain thinks and the things you do. You can learn to do things on a daily basis to bring up the level of your hap­pi­ness, it can help you learn, smile more and to be a hap­pier per­son, example.

Sleep

If you want to be a happy per­son, you really need to get some good sleep, because your body needs it in order to be able to func­tion prop­erly. When you don’t get enough sleep, you might see your­self be moody, or have an inabil­ity to think clearly and you will feel very unhappy.

Some peo­ple don’t get a good night’s rest might due to a pil­low changes, while oth­ers might need a very fluffy pil­low, your mat­tress could play into a bad night of sleep also.

Sleep is a big fac­tor towards your hap­pi­est, lack of sleep can cause prob­lems with your health also.

If you have that inabil­ity to get into the sleep and toss around all night long by star­ing at the alarm clock, you might be depressed, the lack of sleep plays into how mis­er­able you are through­out the days. To get it fixed is not dif­fi­cult — change your daily night sched­ule and get your­self to the bed ear­lier. Also, you need to encour­age other peo­ple in your house­hold to help or push you a lit­tle bit if you are work­ing too hard.

Exer­cise

Exer­cise is very good for the body and it helps the brain put out endor­phins which are respon­si­ble for mak­ing you happy. Exer­cise doesn’t mean that you have to be on a heavy exer­cise rou­tine on a daily basis. How­ever, you should try to do it every­day. You can get an amaz­ing exer­cise by just clean­ing the house and do some nor­mal house­hold work. Don’t worry, it isn’t about los­ing weight, it is about cre­at­ing happiness.

Med­i­ta­tion

Prac­tic­ing med­i­ta­tion doesn’t mean you belong to a cult or you are doing any­thing reli­giously wrong. It is one of the most effec­tive ways to change your sub­jec­tive well being. Doc­tors have proven that med­i­ta­tion can gen­er­ate brain activ­ity on the left side, which pro­duces a pos­i­tive emo­tion in the body.

    Hap­pi­ness is a state of mind…It depends on one self what he/she wants. One can be Happy at any point of time at any place and at any con­di­tion. It all depends what hap­pi­ness means to you. Peace and Hap­pi­ness are sis­ters they com­ple­ment & sup­ple­ment each other. Hap­pi­ness does not come with out peace in mind and peace does not come with out happiness.

    Most of the time we pon­der around us look­ing for hap­pi­ness, just con­cen­trate on you and your thoughts, always con­cen­trate on the present with out think­ing much about past and future. Yes­ter­day is gone its his­tory, tomor­row is not known its mys­tery, just live in present and try to N’joy every moment of it.

    Never try to be happy at the cost of oth­ers, for sure you will never able to be happy for long, include oth­ers in your hap­pi­ness enlarge your cir­cle of hap­pi­ness. Be happy while mak­ing oth­ers also happy.
