If you are not a happy person then it is a choice you made by yourself. You know you have full control over your life as well as the decisions that you make. There are many factors in which people measure their happiness. Example, some people think money is the happiness, however they may absolutely miserable with what they do on a daily basis to make their money.
You might look at people who have absolutely everything, such as wealth, possessions, status or etc, you strive and want to be like them. But do you know these things don’t create happiness? And actually happiness is a choice.
There are many people who have wealth and a high social status who are completely miserable — they may be lonely, got divorced and more. Happiness comes from within.
Happiness is Subjective
There are things in life that can make you happy that are subjective, because happiness comes differently for different people.
You might find joy and happiness seeking thrills through rides like roller coasters and bungee jumping. This thrill may be more than torture for someone with a fear of heights who would never step foot on a roller coaster, or who will never ever be brave enough to jump from a bridge suspended by a bungee cord.
Everyone seeks happiness in their own way. What makes you happy is a natural high that you deserve to seek. There is nothing wrong with the things that you find the joy of doing it. As long as you are happy, then just do it, it’s really simple.
Naturally Happy
It is true — some people are naturally happy, which is proven through a genetic disposition. It doesn’t mean that if you are not a naturally happy person, you must born to be miserable. No, not at all. Your happiness is influenced by your genetics however it is not fixed as a determining factor.
If you are not a naturally happy person, then you should change the way you think first — to change the way your brain thinks and the things you do. You can learn to do things on a daily basis to bring up the level of your happiness, it can help you learn, smile more and to be a happier person, example.
Sleep
If you want to be a happy person, you really need to get some good sleep, because your body needs it in order to be able to function properly. When you don’t get enough sleep, you might see yourself be moody, or have an inability to think clearly and you will feel very unhappy.
Some people don’t get a good night’s rest might due to a pillow changes, while others might need a very fluffy pillow, your mattress could play into a bad night of sleep also.
Sleep is a big factor towards your happiest, lack of sleep can cause problems with your health also.
If you have that inability to get into the sleep and toss around all night long by staring at the alarm clock, you might be depressed, the lack of sleep plays into how miserable you are throughout the days. To get it fixed is not difficult — change your daily night schedule and get yourself to the bed earlier. Also, you need to encourage other people in your household to help or push you a little bit if you are working too hard.
Exercise
Exercise is very good for the body and it helps the brain put out endorphins which are responsible for making you happy. Exercise doesn’t mean that you have to be on a heavy exercise routine on a daily basis. However, you should try to do it everyday. You can get an amazing exercise by just cleaning the house and do some normal household work. Don’t worry, it isn’t about losing weight, it is about creating happiness.
Meditation
Practicing meditation doesn’t mean you belong to a cult or you are doing anything religiously wrong. It is one of the most effective ways to change your subjective well being. Doctors have proven that meditation can generate brain activity on the left side, which produces a positive emotion in the body.
