I don’t know about you, for me, due to my profession as an e-marketer, one of the hardest aspects when I am working on the projects is to staying focus, I mean 100 percent focus ((years back I found it is a challenge thing to do, but now is okay).
When you work on the net, I think this happens to so many people – most of us get easily sidetracked by the next shiny object! Even writing articles about staying focused can be difficult!
These days I don’t see many people talk about staying focused, but I think it is harder than ever for internet marketers to stay focused on one plan. Many marketers are trying to keep ten projects going at the same time! With Facebook, Google+ and Youtube just a click away, it is very difficult to stay focused if you aren’t desperate to make money right away.
However, if you know the secrets to staying focused, surely you can stay focused. In this article, I am going to share with you few secrets that help me stay focused:
1. Have A To-Do List
This is not new a thing, you may heard it thousands of times, but have you ever really take action and do it? When you start to work for the day, make sure you have a list of tasks that you want to get done that day. I don’t care if you are one of those people who can remember everything in your head. Writing down the tasks will simply help you stay on focus.
Personally, I have found that this makes a big difference for me. I know what I need to do, but often time I forget what I should be doing on that day. When I started check those emails and looking at my Facebook, then I found three hours already pass!
2. Have a Plan
Write down a specific plan of what you are going to do, the steps you are going to take to help you get there, and an about time frame of when the goals or steps in your plan will be completed.
3. Have Rewards
When you completing certain tasks, you should reward yourself. The reward doesn’t have to be something big or expensive, but it should be something that you really want or things you want to do. It could be as simple as spending more time with your loved one or your family etc. Or, it could be a night out of the town. I know some people just want a big juicy steak! Thus, make sure your goal is something that you really want in your life.
Finally, writing down everything you do for a week, yes, write down everything you do. You’ll be surprised to see how little you actually get done in the day. Really, you do not need to check your email every 30 minutes, you don’t need to check your Google+ or Facebook every 15 minutes.
Remember, concentrate in your power, stay focused, get work done and learn to master something in particular is the most important thing to do.
