Science Behind Shorter Workouts

The workout protocol is based on the science of hypertrophy as well as psychophysiology, the study of the mind/body connection, to achieve the result, everyone has a different approach of doing it.

The 7 Minute Muscle (and 7 Minute Body) is primarily a density-based training system. It demands varying rep ranges done within specific time periods. The protocol factors six of the primary variables of hypertrophy, or muscle growth: Intensity, Load, Volume, Density, Time and Force (Time includes rest intervals as well as the time required to perform a given task.)

A layman’s take on one of the basic laws of physics states that time and energy are interrelated. Doing the same amount of work in less time demands more energy, which translates into more power. While power is a factor in training, 7 minute muscle is focused on forcing muscle growth and adaptation. This is also an element of time and energy. More energy expended in less time = more power. Continue reading “Science Behind Shorter Workouts” »

Are You Positioning Your Body in Front of Computer Correctly?

There is no other device that changed our lives like computers. The growth of computers and related technologies has been so unprecedented that, it has found a place in every aspect of human life. Computers have become so inevitable part of our lives that we need to use it for various purposes — be it for fun, work, relaxation or money, people use this device so widely.

Since we are spending long hours and sitting in front of computer everyday, have you ever notice that the positioning of your body in front of computer is set correctly or not? Which means a comfortable working posture with a natural alignment of all your joints from head to toes — the right neutral positioning helps you reduce the stress and strain on the muscles, tendons, and skeletal system thus reducing the risks of developing a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD). Another Weightloss Drug Got Baned

We should all take a big, huge, massive sigh of relief. Finally, the FDA did something right when it comes to bogus “magic” diet-fat burn pills.

A panel of experts reviewed Vivus Inc.‘s new wonder-pill “Qnexa” today.

They gave it the thumbs-down.

Why?

Oh, pesky little reported side-effects like:

* Heart Attacks
* Stroke
* Increased Risk of Suicide (yikes!)
* Memory/Concentration Loss

You know — “minor” stuff like that. GEEZ. What the hell are these drug companies thinking? Continue reading “Another Weightloss Drug Got Baned” »
