Here is a shift of thought I want you to be aware of. It is time to give yourself a chance, make a decision and live your own successful life.
Life is a journey, it is like a road – there are long and short roads; smooth and rocky roads; crooked and straight paths. There are many roads will come your way.
There are roads that lead to a life of single blessedness, marriage, and religious vocation.
There are also roads that lead to fame, success and fortune on one hand or isolation and poverty on the other.
There are roads to happiness as there are roads to sadness, roads towards victory and jubilation, and roads leading to defeat and disappointment.
Just like any road, there are corners, detours, and crossroads in life. The most perplexing road that you probably will meet is a crossroad.
With four roads to choose from and with limited knowledge on where they would go, which road will you take? What is the guarantee that we would choose the right one along the way? Would you take any road, or just stay where you are: in front of a crossroad?
Well, maybe you do not really know where a road will lead you to until you take the ride – there are no guarantees. This is one of the most important things you need to realize in the life.
Nobody said that choosing to do the right thing all the time would always lead you to happiness. No, not really.
Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that it would be returned.
Gaining fame and fortune does not guarantee happiness.
Accepting a good word from an influential superior to cut your trip short up the career ladder is not always a bad thing especially if you are highly qualified and competent.
There are too many possible outcomes, which you really cannot control.
The only thing you have power over is the decisions that you will make, the action you will take, and how you would act and react to different situations.
Example, fishes live in water for the rest of their life – rivers, ponds, sea, aquariums etc. They’re already in the water when they were born, even a small kid was taught about this fact.
As they grow up, they begin to swim – left, right, up and down. But there’s something fish doesn’t know in their entire life – they don’t know what water is, they don’t even know they are inside water which allows them to swim.
They will only know when you take them out of the water and then they know how vital is water in their life.
Fish live in the water for the rest of their life but not knowing that water even existed. This is not their fault and you can’t blame them for not knowing it.
By saying that, if you’re not as successful as you suppose to be, it’s really not your fault because you live an
‘ordinary’ life, you are doing what ordinary people do, learning the same thing as what they learn and etc.
Well, if you want to be successful in life, you don’t have to be extraordinary but you just don’t need to be ordinary either no matter it is about becoming wealthy or being admired by all walks of life.
If someone say that this is all he can be reached, then that’s ridiculous – they don’t know what they don’t know, there are potential for them to reach more than where they are now.
Did you know? If you have lived in the ‘water’ and don’t even know you are in there, you cannot go to the next level!
Let’s say, you’re given with so many success ideas and formulas that you’ve never thought of possible.
You listen to hours of conversations with some of the most successful people in the world who are sharing their inspire stories, includes a billionaire who is telling you how he became so wealthy that he can buy a jet plane with cash.
Then what? If you don’t make any decision or take any action, what will you get? Do you think your life will change? No, nothing will happen.
Sometimes, becoming successful is not just about taking massive action, but it takes small action of what you’ve discovered periodically.
What I mean is that when you know a new thing that leads you closer to success, apply it. Then do it again, and again. The next thing you know, you’ve achieved success effortlessly, it as easy as A-B-C.
Since life offers no guarantee, you will never know the decision you made is wrong or right until you take the action, and you might take the risk to decide as well.
Why will you choose a certain path when you know it would get you lost? Why makes a certain decision if you know from the beginning that it is not the right one?
It is only after you have made a decision and reflected on it and then you realize its soundness.
If the consequences or outcomes are good for you, that’s mean you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision is wrong.
You just have to trust yourself and creating a right and winning mindset.
Thus, choose, decide and believe that you are choosing the best option at this point in your life. Whether it is the right decision or not, only time can tell.
Do not regret it whatever the outcomes come out, instead, learn from it and remember that you always have the chance to make better decisions in the future.
