Isn’t it interesting that each year Holidays seem to “sneak up” on us pretty fast and then all of a sudden, the calendar gremlins flipped to a new month while we weren’t looking?
This time of the year, one of the most frequently uttered expressions is “I can’t believe Feb 2011 almost gone! Where does the time go?”
Indeed, where DOES the time go? When you hear that, do you immediately start to try to think of your significant achievements over the past year or past month? Well, I do, and sometime I get a little panicky and wish I could have better “handle on time” because it seems to slip away too fast.
See, here we are, we become one year older already, and hopefully we can also become wiser as well.
By saying that, have you thought about what you have accomplished since last Feb? Have you participated in a home based business opportunity, or started to learn to build your own online business? Or have you changed or modify your diet and ate healthier? Etc.
Ultimately, what you did in the last 12 months is in your unchangeable past, and what truly matters is, “What will you do in the next 12 months that will put you closer to achieving your dreams?” Or maybe the real question is, “Do you have any dreams for your life?”
I’ve heard people said that – a life without dreams is a life not worth living. Since we were born into this earth, I believe we are here to experience the grandest version of who we can become. As far as our imagination can take us, anyone can realize a dream (based on his or her own wildest dreams).
I believe that if you have an unrelenting burning desire and you allow its creation to manifest, your dreams will come true at no time.
As Jiminy Cricket sang to Pinnochio, “When your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme” or, as James Allen, author of As a Man Thinketh wrote, “Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be,” in the other words, when you find a dream you are passionate about, there are no limits.
However, do beware of mistaking desperation for passion. Dreams fueled by desperation or lack cannot be realized, for lack can only create more of itself.
If you want to know where your thoughts have been focused, then look at your life. If you don’t like what you see, change your thoughts. Envision your own dream of an amazing life (whatever that means to you), just let your desire to live that life influence you every thought.
Now, instead of lamenting about where the time went, give yourself the gift of a dream you feel passionate about.
Wishing you peace, love, and prosperity.
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.”~ Henry David Thoreau
