No matter which stage your life is, when there change comes, do you regard change in your life as a threat or an opportunity?
Change is part of everyday life and yet some people find change challenging. If facing new situations fills you with dread, you can help yourself by learning how to embrace change. Think about it, change is inevitable. At this very moment, for instance, your body and cells are changing. The earth, economy, technology, how we do business, and even how we communicate is changing. You can choose to resist the changes that are always afoot and ultimately be swept away by them. Alternatively, you could choose to coöperate with change, adapt to change, and benefit from change all the while stepping into greater levels of your prosperity.
Understand this, as human beings, it is a nature thing that the fear of change is deep-rooted. Change, of any type or through any stage in life, is often looked upon as frightening. If, however, change is embraced with a positive attitude, seen it as an opportunity or a chance to live with greater excitement and fulfillment, then moving through a change brings many benefits.
Speaking of that, then, how to embracing change? It actually pretty simple and easy – it begins by accepting that life is a journey of discovery and that change is part of that journey.
Most people know this, yet change is often resisted. Why? The reason is simple really – once someone has become comfortable with the way things work (Status Quo), they naturally find it hard to embrace something different (Foreign Element). Doing so, would mean they instantly become less competent, effective and efficient.
In today’s world and globalised marketplace, being less is scary. It’s drilled into us as children. We must be better than our peers. Faster. Higher. Stronger. Only by being more than the guy in the next cubicle can we get ahead in life.
This is why change is always scary. Yet, it is the Secret to Success.
Embrace change. Override your first instinctive reaction to run the other way. Adopt an open mind. Look at the change not as a threat to your current situation, but as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Often time, the habitual internal thoughts and dialogue are the cause stops you from living fully, to enable yourself to turn your perspective to one that is ultimately beneficial, you need to eradicating those limiting thoughts.
Once you are aware and mindful of your limiting thoughts, you can correct them and start embracing the changes in your life with greater positivist.
Remember, as you think, you travel, as you love, you attract, where you are today is because your thoughts brought you, where will you be tomorrow is what your thoughts take you; see, a thought can do us more good than a doctor or a banker or a faithful friend, but it can also do us more harm than a brick. However, if you find it is really difficult to change your thoughts from negative to positive, then you need to ask God’s help, He will help you if your try, and you can if you think you can.
You are an empowered individual, you always have choices, you are the captain and you are in your life’s driving seat, so don’t give your power away to someone else or some other situation.
Thus, if you want to be happy or your life to improve in one way or another, don’t expect things to radically change, unless you do something about it. If you keep doing things in the same way you have done, expect the same result. If you continue to cruise along the same highway, expect it to lead you exactly where it has always done.
To change your life for the better, you have to introduce a Foreign Element, trigger or change agent, shake things up, do things differently, adopt an improved mindset and be a different person because your life depends on it.
Start embracing change today. Start living! Once you get things started, you will find change is full of amazing opportunities.
