If you interpret things in a positive way, you start living healthier and better quality lives, regardless of the genetic makeup you started with. A new attitude, positive or negative, sends new messages to the cells in your body and can actually reprogram their health and behavior. It can even change cellular structure and turning diseased cells into healthy cells.
Have you heard about people saying “whatever, trust your unconscious mind?” It is like developing a deep friendship with yourself until you discover, it’s actually more like developing a deep friendship with the universe.
The unconscious mind is a container for different thoughts, feelings, emotions, resources and possibilities that you are not paying attention to at any one time. But when you switch your attention then they become conscious.
It is your unconscious mind that performs the actions that you need to be safe in hazardous circumstances.
Example, if you catch a truck coming at you out of the corner of your eye, you do not have the chance to make a conscious decision to move, you just do it and quickly! That is your unconscious mind.
Talk to Your Unconscious Mind
For example, if you are feeling bad about a situation that you can’t practically change but want to feel differently about, you might talk or ask your unconscious mind to generate a metaphor or image that will help you start to move on from this concern.
So, in this way, your conscious mind has the task of merely setting the intention and leaving it up to the unconscious mind to produce the means of your feeling different.
Understand that everything is not always what it seems, that everything you experience has a purpose. By doing so, you will discover the solutions that already exist inside you.
Your Unconscious Mind is Powerful
Your unconscious mind is busy 24-7 running your body, it makes decisions for you and determines how confident or not you show up at your next speech, example.
It is programmed to serve you. It serves up whatever you ask it for in any given situation, which includes the behaviors and beliefs that don’t serve you well.
For instance, a fear of snakes, that knee-jerk defensive reaction or a pesky sugar habit.
Do you know the reality of that is because you asked for those behaviors? How? You have to thanks to your internal dialogues with your unconscious minds 🙂
I read an interesting article recently about medical hypnosis.
The hypnosis stuff is not the stage hypnosis stuff you see, not the kind of “you are getting sleepy …”, also not something like “You will now bark like a dog.”
This stuff was created by doctors and trained psychologists and is used to tap into your subconscious mind. It said,
Your conscious mind is only able to process about 50 bits of information in a second while your unconscious mind processes about 11 million bits per second. That means your unconscious mind is about 220 THOUSAND times faster than your conscious mind.
W-O-W, is that amazing?
See, making changes that lead to your success requires changes to your beliefs about yourself, the world, and others. It also requires making real changes in your habits, preferences, and behaviors.
To access its incredible processing power, make the changes with as little interference from your unconscious mind.
Another thing to know is that your conscious mind is actually the bottleneck towards effecting true change, as its main role is getting you through the day in the here and now.
Remember, your unconscious mind is amazing computers, programmed to serve you. You direct how your unconscious mind serves you in every moment of your lives.
